VCD Women: Summer Meeting Every Saturday
The women of Dupage Vineyard will meet every Saturday morning this summer at 8:30am at Herrick Lake (off of Butterfield Rd. just east of Winfield Rd.) for fellowship.  The focus is on striving for a balanced life meaning exercising the mind, body and spirit every day.  Come to share what you are learning about how the Holy Spirit guides us in our day to day lives.  Bring your own chair and beverage to go with the snacks provided.  When you go in the entrance from Butterfield Road, turn right and look for us under the trees.  If you have any questions, call Mary Wolf at 630-752-8739 or send her an e-mail.

Missions Team Meeting: August 16th
The Missions Team is meeting Saturday, August 16th at 6pm at Anita Frederick’s house (872 N Britton Rd, Carol Stream).  Anyone interested in being a part of this group is welcome to attend the meeting.  Please contact Ken Schrock if you are interested.

Grocery Giveaway: August 17th
On August 17th, directly after service, we will be heading out to Villagebrook Apartments on St. Charles Rd. to give groceries to those residents in need.  With the re-launching of this ministry, we’ll be doing something a little different.  Instead of everyone purchasing non-perishable items to donate to the giveaway, we’ll be taking up a collection on 8/3, 8/10, and 8/17 and giving the money to The Neighborhood Food Pantry of DuPage County who will in turn provide the groceries.  A $5.00 donation purchases a shopping cart full of food to keep their various food pantries stocked.  This partnership allows our donations to go further, providing more food for more people.  The Neighborhood Food Pantry will be delivering the groceries to the church the weekend of the giveaway so that all is needed from us is to sort through it and fill up the grocery giveaway bags accordingly.  All that are interested in volunteering the day of the 17th should call Jeanne Rice at 331-262-4753. or RSVP.
