The Experience

To launch our A Walk in Their Shoes Campaign (see below) we invite you to join us on November 20th at 5:30pm or November 21st at 11:45am, for our free “A Walk in Their Shoes: Experience". Share a delicious ethic meal followed by an immersive Poverty Simulation from CRI. Participants will learn some of the obstacles faced in accomplishing basic daily tasks and take a “walk in the shoes” of those in communities of deep poverty around the world.

The CRI Poverty Simulation serves to both awaken local American believers and churches to the realities and needs of the poor and also challenge them to engage in a meaningful way toward serving those in need that they have just been educated about.

Children able to participate in a meaningful way are encouraged to join under the supervision of their parents. Elementary age children will do well with adults walking them through the experience. Older children may enjoy making their own way through the experience.

Childcare will be available if needed, so be sure to select that option when you register with our online registration form.

*** Please register by November 14th ***

If you have any questions, please contact the Church office at office@dupagevineyard.org.

Join Vineyard Church of DuPage this fall for our “A Walk in Their Shoes” Campaign, where we take steps together in the shoes of the poor and impoverished and come together to provide food, clean water, and Covid-19 relief for those in desperate need. Vineyard Church of Dupage partners annually with CRI (Children’s Relief International) to provide for the practical basic needs of the poor and needy all over the world from Mozambique where we have rescued babies, to Uganda and other African countries where we helped those in deep need, to various places in South Asia where we have brought hope and life.

CRI exists to share the Light of Christ with the poorest of our time through Word and Deed. They have built houses for widows, drilled water wells, provided nutrition and medicine, erected churches, trained pastors, cared for and educated children, and raised the quality of life in their communities.

Our heart is that you would prayerfully join us in our campaign to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the world around us.

“A Walk in Their Shoes” campaign will run from October 24th through January 1st, with the opportunity to give at any time during this period.
